On the eve of its fortieth anniversary, and with its longtime leader Joel Rubenzahl’s retirement, Community Economics wanted to tell their story, celebrate their accomplishments, and acknowledge the contributions of staff and partners who have helped the organization to grow and thrive.

CEI has had a major impact on the affordable housing movement, both at a state and national level, helping thousands of people afford a decent place to live.

I collaborated with the folks at CEI and writer Dan Fost to create a commemorative book as a gift to their clients and colleagues in the affordable housing arena — to tell their story, and continue their legacy into the future. Most of the photos came from their clients or historical archives.
